Emergency services responded to a tragic incident late last night after a person was hit by a train near Rayleigh Train Station, Essex.

The incident occurred around 11:15pm on Friday, July 25, prompting a significant emergency response. Witnesses reported seeing fire engines, police vehicles, ambulances, and units from British Transport Police (BTP) at the scene following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
This is the second such fatality in Essex in recent weeks, following a similar incident near Stansted Airport earlier this month.
