A person has died after being struck by a train on the Dartford line, causing major delays between London Charing Cross and Dartford. The tragic incident occurred at Stone Crossing station just before 12:40 am on Sunday, 6 April 2025.
Emergency Response
Officers from the British Transport Police (BTP) and South East Coast Ambulance Service rushed to the scene following reports of a casualty on the tracks. Despite the efforts of emergency crews, the individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
A spokesperson for British Transport Police stated:
“The incident is not being treated as suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
