Emergency services rushed to the Heron Tower in Liverpool Street this afternoon following reports that a person had fallen from the top of the building, which houses the popular Sushi Samba restaurant.

Eyewitnesses described a heavy emergency response around the building shortly after the incident occurred. The area was cordoned off as police, ambulance crews, and London Fire Brigade units arrived on scene.

It is understood that the individual may have jumped from one of the upper floors, though this has not yet been officially confirmed.

A  source for the City of London said they are awaiting formal confirmation of the circumstances and are currently investigating the incident.
