Train services have been suspended this evening after a person was hit by a train between Paddock Wood and Strood, leading to widespread disruption across the Southeastern rail network.

The incident occurred on the evening of Thursday 7 August 2025, and all lines between the two stations were immediately closed while emergency services responded.
Passengers who have been affected or witnessed the incident are encouraged to seek support from Samaritans on 116 123, a free 24/7 confidential listening service.
