Police Incident Outside Crystal Palace Station After Man Reportedly Sets Dog on Another Man

Police cordoned off an area outside Crystal Palace train station on Monday morning 17th March 2025  following an incident in which a man allegedly set a dog on another man.

Witnesses reported seeing a significant police presence shortly after 8am, with part of the pavement near the station taped off. Officers remained on scene for several hours as they carried out enquiries.

According to bystanders, the altercation involved two men, and during the confrontation one man is said to have ordered his dog to attack the other. The extent of the victim’s injuries has not yet been confirmed, and it is not yet known if any arrests have been made.

Commuters expressed concern and confusion as they arrived at the station to find police activity and a cordon in place.

One passerby said: “There was a lot of shouting and then suddenly police were everywhere. It’s not something you expect to see first thing in the morning.”

The Metropolitan Police have not yet released an official statement regarding the incident. It remains unclear what led to the altercation or whether the dog has been seized.

Anyone who witnessed the incident is urged to contact police or Crimestoppers anonymously.
