The British Transport Police (BTP) have released an image in connection with an assault that occurred on board a train between Kirkby-in-Ashfield and Mansfield Woodhouse stations. The incident took place at approximately 8.50pm on Sunday, March 3.

According to reports, a male passenger directed verbal abuse towards a rail staff member during the journey. The situation escalated when the man physically pushed the staff member, resulting in an injury to the victim’s knee. The assailant subsequently disembarked from the train at Mansfield Woodhouse around 9:00 PM.

BTP investigators believe that the individual captured in the image may possess crucial information related to the incident. Authorities urge anyone with relevant details to come forward and assist with their ongoing investigation.
