Police Officer Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries in Stoke Poges Incident – Three Arrests Made

 

A police officer is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following a serious road traffic incident on the B416 Bells Hill late Thursday night. Thames Valley Police have now arrested three men in connection with the incident, which they are treating as attempted murder.

The incident occurred at 10:20 PM on Thursday, May 22, between Decies Way and Rogers Lane in Stoke Poges, near the Banana Moon Day Nursery, which remains inaccessible due to ongoing road closures.

Arrests Made

  • A 38-year-old man from Slough was arrested earlier on suspicion of attempted murder and causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
  • A 28-year-old man and a 43-year-old man, both from Slough, were later arrested on suspicion of attempted murder, assisting an offender, and perverting the course of justice.

All three individuals remain in police custody.

Officer’s Condition and Appeal for Information

The injured officer, who was on duty at the time, continues to receive medical care. Thames Valley Police have not released further details on their identity but confirm the officer’s condition is life-threatening.

Deputy Chief Constable Ben Snuggs said:
“Our thoughts are with the police officer, their loved ones, and all of their colleagues at this difficult time. We urge anyone with information to come forward immediately.”
