Police probing A3 road rage incident

Police are appealing for witnesses following a road rage incident which started on the northbound A3 at Thursley and continued through Guildford until the vehicles, a white BMW and a blue Mercedes van, were stopped in a layby before Junction 10 at Wisley. The incident occurred between 3.30pm and 4pm on Wednesday, 26 June. Officers arrested the driver of the white BMW, a 30 year old man from Petersfield, Hampshire”>Hampshire, on suspicion of possession of a bladed article, threats to kill and driving without insurance. He has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue. PC Chris Nicholson, of the Surrey Police Roads Policing Unit, said: “This road rage incident could easily have ended in a serious collision, injury or worse. We urge anyone who witnessed the incident, or has dash cam footage, to come forward and help us with our enquiries.” If you are able to help our investigation, please call 101, quoting reference PR/ P19142985.
