Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a man captured in a CCTV image in connection with a sexual assault that occurred on a train. The incident unfolded at approximately 3.30pm on Monday, 21 August, and investigators are now releasing the image to aid their inquiry.
During the incident, a 17-year-old girl was aboard a train traveling to Skegness from Grantham. She was approached by an individual who engaged her in inappropriate questioning before sexually assaulting her. The traumatic event has prompted a thorough investigation by British Transport Police.
Detectives believe that the man depicted in the CCTV image may possess information vital to their investigation. Therefore, they are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying him. Anyone who recognises the individual is urged to contact British Transport Police promptly.
