A major incident on the A34 near Newbury close to the Oxfordshire border resulted in serious injuries to a second man, as confirmed by Hampshire Constabulary. The crash, which occurred around noon on Saturday, involved military vehicles and led to both men, in their 20s, being hospitalized with significant but non-life-threatening injuries.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, responded to the scene shortly after the accident. The road was closed in both directions to facilitate an immediate response and investigation.
Initial reports had confirmed that one man suffered a serious leg injury. However, subsequent updates revealed that another man sustained a serious arm injury. Both individuals were promptly taken to the hospital for treatment.
