Stansted Express Suspended Due to Overhead Wire Fault

Passengers are being urged not to travel on the Stansted Express this morning as services between Liverpool Street and Stansted Airport are currently suspended due to an overhead wire fault.

The issue, which has caused all lines between Cheshunt and Harlow Town to be blocked, is affecting Greater Anglia and Stansted Express services, leaving passengers facing significant delays.

A statement from Stansted Express advised:

“Stansted Express customers are advised not to travel early this morning.”

Engineers are working to resolve the problem, but there is currently no estimated time for service resumption. Passengers are encouraged to check live travel updates before attempting their journeys.

Alternative routes via National Rail and London Underground services may be available for some affected passengers. Those needing urgent travel to Stansted Airport are advised to seek alternative transport.
