Teen arrested over Haringey murder

A murder investigation has been launched following a fatal stabbing in Haringey. Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at 3.09am on Saturday, 1 June, to reports of a stabbing at Seven Sisters Road, near the junction with Vartry Road. At the scene a 33-year-old man from Hackney was found to have suffered a stab wound to the leg. The injured man was taken to a north London hospital, where he died on Monday, 3 June. Officers await formal identification, but his next of kin have been informed. A post-mortem examination will be arranged in due course. Detectives from the Homicide and Major Crime Command investigate. On 3 June a 17-year-old youth was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Seven Sisters Road, N4. He has been taken to an east London police station where he is currently detained.
