A teenage girl has tragically died following a serious crash on the A12 near Colchester on Tuesday evening (April 22), prompting a police investigation and hours-long road closure.
The incident occurred at approximately 7pm between junctions 27 and 29, where emergency services responded to reports of a collision involving a car and a pedestrian. Despite the efforts of paramedics, the girl—believed to be in her late teens—was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
