Teenager fights for his life following Stabbing on Ilford Bus

A 17-year-old boy is in a life-threatening condition after being stabbed on a bus in Ilford on Saturday evening (November 16).

Incident Overview

The Metropolitan Police were called at approximately 5:25 PM to reports of an injured male on Ilford High Road. Officers arrived at the scene alongside London Ambulance Service paramedics.

The teenager was found with a stab wound and was rushed to hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

 

 


Details of the Attack

It is believed the victim was attacked while travelling on a Route 145 bus. After being stabbed, the teenager exited the bus near Lynton House, Ilford High Road, where emergency services were alerted.

Police Investigation

Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are leading the investigation. Fast-time enquiries are underway, including:

  • Examination of CCTV footage from the bus and surrounding area.
  • Speaking to witnesses who were on the bus or in the vicinity at the time of the attack.

No arrests have been made as of yet, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
