This afternoon, 15 fire engines and approximately 100 firefighters are battling a blaze in a tower block in Newham (June 21)

London Fire Brigade confirmed on social media that they are on the scene following reports of a fire on Grantham Road in Manor Park.

An LFB spokesperson said part of a flat on the 13th floor of a 15-story building is on fire, and approximately 60 people escaped the building before the Brigade arrived.
