Tommy Robinson Breaks Silence After Arrest Over St Pancras Assault

Overview

“Everyone needs to see the footage, not just that little clip.”

Arrest at Luton Airport

Robinson’s arrest took place at 6.25pm on Monday after his return flight from Faro Airport. Witnesses described how British Transport Police (BTP) officers were waiting on the tarmac, surrounding the plane with two police vans as Robinson disembarked.

Bailed Pending Further Investigation

British Transport Police confirmed that a 42-year-old man from Bedfordshire was released on bail until September 8 while enquiries continue.

In their earlier statement, BTP said:

“Officers were called to St Pancras station at 8.40pm on 28 July following reports of an assault. A man was found with serious injuries and taken to hospital. He has since been discharged.”

‘Planned Trip’

Addressing his brief trip abroad, Robinson said the visit to Portugal was a “planned trip” and claimed that police had been made aware of his return:

“I notified police when I was coming back. I had no intention of avoiding this.”

The alleged victim in the St Pancras incident has not been publicly named but was discharged from hospital last week.

Background

Robinson is currently awaiting trial on a separate charge of coercive control involving his estranged wife, Lisa-Marie Zbozen. He denies the allegation and is due to appear at Worcester Crown Court for a pre-trial review later this month.

Call for Transparency

Robinson’s latest plea for the release of full footage echoes growing public calls for transparency in the investigation, especially given the viral nature of the initial partial clip.

The British Transport Police have not commented on whether the full CCTV footage will be released.
