Two people have been airlifted to hospital following a house fire in Ramsgate on Saturday morning (October 12). Emergency services remain at the scene near St Mildred’s Road, where the blaze broke out earlier in the day.

An air ambulance was seen landing at Government Acre before transferring the injured to Kings College Hospital in London.

A spokesperson for Kent Police stated: “Kent Police was called by South East Coast Ambulance Service at 10:28 a.m. to assist with a road closure near St Mildred’s Road, Ramsgate, while emergency services responded to a house fire.”

Kent Fire and Rescue Services deployed four fire engines to the scene. Crews wearing breathing apparatus used main jets and hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
