Detectives investigating a fatal collision in Colindale have arrested two men following the tragic death of a woman who was struck by a car on Grahame Park Way earlier this week.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, 25 March, when a car collided with a female pedestrian in her 60s. Despite the best efforts of emergency services, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Wednesday, 26 March, two men aged 18 and 19 were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop. Both remain in police custody as investigations continue.

The vehicle involved in the incident did not stop at the scene, but was later discovered abandoned in nearby Franco Avenue.

Appeal for Witnesses

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are leading the investigation and are urging members of the public to come forward with any information.

A spokesperson for the Met said:

“We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw individuals leaving the car in Franco Avenue. We are particularly interested in any dashcam or CCTV footage that may help piece together what happened.”

The victim’s family has been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
