Man Charged with Murder Following Fatal Stabbing in Vauxhall

A man has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in Vauxhall, South London, over the weekend. The Metropolitan Police confirmed the development as part of an ongoing homicide investigation.

Abdul Kareem Fawaz, aged 35, of Bondway, SW8, has been charged with murder and possession of a knife. He was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Croydon Magistrates’ Court today (Monday, 7 July).


Victim Identified as Daniel Manuel

The victim of the incident has been named as Daniel Manuel, aged 32. He was found with knife injuries following reports of an altercation at a residential address on Bondway at 5:38am on Saturday, 5 July.

Despite efforts by paramedics, Daniel was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.


Two Arrests Made

Two men — aged 35 and 33 — were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. While Fawaz has now been charged, the 33-year-old suspect has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

The investigation is being led by detectives from the Metropolitan Police Specialist Crime Command.
