Witness appeal following collision in the A2 near Strood in Kent

Officers are appealing for witnesses to a serious injury collision on the A2 near Strood. Kent Police was called at 4.40pm on Thursday 4 July 2019 to the A2, just before Junction 1 for the M2, where a green Toyota Yaris had overturned. The incident caused damaged to two other vehicles. Officers and medical professionals from the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene where the driver of the Yaris was treated for serious injuries. He was taken to a London hospital for further medical attention. Police are working to establish the circumstances of the collision and are urging anyone who saw the car in the moments leading up to the incident, or who have dashcam footage from the area around the time, to contact them.
