Woman Dies Following Rush Hour Incident on A27 Near Hove

A 36-year-old woman from Hove has tragically died following an incident on the A27 at around 5pm yesterday (Thursday).

The road was temporarily closed in both directions between the Devil’s Dyke Interchange and Hangleton Interchange while emergency services attended the scene. The closure led to significant disruption during the evening rush hour, and police have thanked the public for their patience and understanding.

Officers have confirmed that the woman’s family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers during this difficult time.

Sussex Police have stated that there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident. The matter has now been passed to the coroner for further investigation.
