A woman has tragically lost her life in a house fire that engulfed a property in Peckham, South London, on Sunday, March 17. Despite rescue efforts, the woman, who was pulled from the burning house, succumbed to her injuries at the scene.

The fire broke out on Crane Street in Peckham, prompting a swift response from the London Fire Brigade (LFB) after they were alerted at 7:40 pm. Upon arrival, firefighters initiated rescue operations, successfully extracting the woman from the inferno via an internal staircase. Despite immediate emergency care provided by both firefighters and the London Ambulance Service, the woman could not be saved.
