A woman has been taken to hospital in a stable condition after allegedly drinking a suspected corrosive liquid at an address in Kennington.

Emergency Services Respond

The Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service (LAS), and London Fire Brigade (LFB) were called to the scene on Walworth Road at 11:30am on Saturday, January 25.
“Police and London Ambulance Service were called at 11.30am to reports of a woman having drunk a suspected corrosive liquid at an address in Walworth Road, Kennington.

“Safety procedures and cordons, as well as road closures, were established while specialist officers and LFB dealt with the incident.

“The woman was taken to hospital by LAS, where her condition is stable.

“Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing. There have been no arrests.”

Authorities have urged anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
