Woman Racially Abused and Spat at on Jubilee Line Train, Police Investigating as Hate Crime

A woman was racially abused and spat at while travelling on a Jubilee Line train between Kilburn and Finchley Road at approximately 6:54 AM on Saturday, September 7. British Transport Police (BTP) are investigating the incident as a hate crime and have launched an appeal for information.

Officers have released a CCTV image of a man they believe could provide crucial information in their investigation. They are urging anyone who recognizes the man or has any details about the incident to come forward.

Members of the public who recognize the individual or have information are asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference number 144 of 7/9/24.

Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously through Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.

The incident has sparked concern about public safety on London’s transport network, and authorities are keen to identify the individual involved to ensure justice is served.
