Berk in a Merc Pulled from Gutter in Newport
An Island Taxi driver or a berk in a silver merc experienced that sinking feeling yesterday (Wednesday May 2nd) after he left his pride and joy on the side of the road on Standen Avenue. Police had to call on Island recovery specialist Stag Lane motors who sent a specialist hi-ab with a crane to recovery a taxi after it left the road and ended up in the ditch. How the vehicle ended up in the postion has not been revealed. One thing we do know it that the driver didn’t have the meter running. But has been left with a bill as result of the incident for recovery and repairs.
