A Halifax mother-of-four was brutally killed by her boyfriend, who has now been handed a life sentence after admitting her murder.
Paris Found Dead in Alleyway
Paris Kendall, 36, was discovered unresponsive with serious head injuries in an alley off Keighley Road, Illingworth, on 13 August last year. She tragically died at the scene.
Her boyfriend, 40-year-old Lee Taylor, was arrested the same day at an address on Athol Close. Investigators found clothing worn by Taylor earlier that day, stained with Paris’s blood.
Taylor is also guilty of Separate Assault
Two days after the murder, Taylor was charged with Paris’s murder and also with grievous bodily harm from an unrelated attack on a man in April 2025.
At Bradford Crown Court on 23 March, Taylor pleaded guilty to murder just as his trial was about to begin. He denied the assault charge, but a jury found him guilty on 26 March.
Taylor was sentenced today to 21 years for both crimes and remains in custody.
Family Pay Moving Tribute
“Paris was a much‑loved mother, daughter, and family member whose warmth touched everyone she met. She adored her four children and family,” said her relatives.
“Those who knew her describe Paris as a beautiful soul who brought happiness and comfort to those around her. We are heartbroken—losing her has left a pain words cannot express. We will remember her love, kindness, and the joy she brought into the world.”
Police Speak Out on Justice for Paris
Detective Sergeant Adrian Belle of the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team said: “Taylor’s guilty plea won’t bring Paris back but spares her family the trauma of a trial. It doesn’t lessen the brutality or callousness of what happened that day.”
“I hope the family can find comfort knowing justice has been served. Paris’s death is a heartbreaking reminder of the devastating impact of violence against women and underlines our ongoing commitment to tackling it in all forms.”
