A Derby man has been locked up after violently attacking his partner in the street — and then punching a brave passer-by who stepped in to help.
Violence Erupts on Derby Street
Sacha Millar, 34, erupted in anger on Victoria Street, Derby, on 13 December, lashing out at his partner during a public argument.
A passing couple saw Millar hit his partner repeatedly in the face and body, dragging her aggressively. When one passer-by tried to intervene, Millar punched her straight in the face, knocking her unconscious and causing a broken jaw.
Fleeing Scene Turns Into Swift Police Hunt
After the attack, Millar headed to a hotel on Full Street where he and his partner were staying. He left shortly after, but police were quickly alerted and launched a manhunt.
