Detectives Appeal for Help to Find Murder Victim’s Next-of-Kin

Detectives are appealing to the public for help in identifying the family members or next-of-kin of a murder victim in London. Anthony Marks, a 51-year-old member of the homeless community, was tragically attacked in the early hours of Saturday, 10 August, in Cromer Street, WC1.
Despite someone having been charged, our investigation is ongoing with a number of active lines of enquiry,” said DCI Lee. Sadly, despite our best efforts, we have been unable to identify a next-of-kin for Anthony, and I urge anyone who can help to contact the investigation team.

DCI Lee also appealed to anyone who witnessed the incident but has not yet spoken to the police. There were a number of people in the area at the time of the murder, and we know that some tried to help Anthony. If you are one of those people, please get in touch with us.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the incident room on 0208 358 0300, dial 101, or post on X (formerly Twitter) @MetCC, quoting CAD 1428/10AUG24.

Authorities are urging the public to come forward with any details that may assist in locating Anthony’s family or provide further insight into the tragic incident.
