Detectives in Camden are appealing for information after a man asked a teenage boy to perform a sex act on him

Detectives in Camden are appealing for information after a man asked a teenage boy to perform a sex act on him. Officers are now releasing a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident. On Thursday, 26 September at around 4.40pm the victim, a 14-year-old boy, caught a bus on Kentish Town Road. As he crossed the road he spotted a bike coming towards him, he stood back to allow it to pass. The male cyclist looked at the victim and smiled. The victim caught the bus and the male cyclist followed the bus. When the victim got off the bus, the same man approached him and asked him for directions. He then went on to ask the young boy to perform a sex act on him. The suspect rode off on the Prince of Wales Road and turned right into Willis Road. The suspect is believed to be a white man, in his mid-50s, with sideburns and grey stubble. He was described as being tanned, with an outgrown skinhead and had a Mediterranean accent. He was wearing a grey coat and riding a black bike. Detective Constable Katherine Phipps, from the Met’s Central North CID, said: “This incident happened during daylight hours on a busy street. I would urge anyone who might recognise the man in this image to contact police. “Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, can be reported to police by calling 101 with CAD reference 2508/20Nov or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
