In a devastating turn of events, two separate road traffic collisions have resulted in the loss of two lives, one in Co Louth and the other in Co Limerick.

The first incident occurred in Castletroy, Co Limerick, where a male pedestrian lost his life after being involved in a collision with two cars. The distressing crash took place yesterday at approximately 21.50 on the Dublin Road. It is disheartening to note that one of the drivers involved failed to remain at the scene, leaving behind a scene of devastation.
