A local resident, caught up in the drama, told Sussex News, “I was taking out the bins next door when it happened. I was just 10 metres away. Quite shocked.”

“We attended the scene with a structural engineer and council reps. Crews helped residents evacuate safely,” an ESFRS spokesperson said. “We are relieved to report no injuries from this incident.”
