Emergency Services called to a Collision in Ryde

Emergency Services have been called to a collision in Ryde this afternoon. Two vehicles have been involved in the collision on St Johns Road. Police and Paramedics are at the scene. Officers are directing traffic due to the road being blocked by a blue Rover and Blue Ford F. It is understood that a pensioner driving the Rover has collied with the rear of the Focus. Paramedics are treating those involved. Traffic is heavy and building on approach to the incident and is currently queuing back to Binstead Hill A second collision ha taken place at the junction of Quarry Road a Toyota Aygo and a Vauxhall Astra van have crashed head-on. UPDATE 1530 One person has been taken to hospital as a result of the first collision
