Four men have been busted in Kenya linked to the murder of Campbell Scott Alistair, a 58-year-old Scottish businessman found dead last February.

Businessman Found Bound in Remote Forest

Campbell Scott Alistair, from Dunfermline, Fife, was discovered with his hands and legs tied inside a pineapple sack in Makongo Forest, roughly 60 miles from Nairobi. The senior director at credit scoring giant FICO had travelled to Kenya for a conference but vanished after missing a crucial presentation at the JW Marriott Hotel. A local cattle herder found his body days after he disappeared. Police say he was last seen at Havana nightclub the evening before.

Kidnapped, Held For Ransom

Investigations reveal Campbell was taken to a property in the Pipeline slum district, 9.3 miles from his hotel. Prosecutors suspect he was held captive while criminals attempted to drain his bank accounts.

Suspects Nabbed in Coastal Town Ukunda

Kenyan police arrested suspects Bernard Mbusu, Isaac Kinoti Kobia, Evans Muthengi Mutaki, and Kelvin Mwangi Njoroge at Ideal Apartments, Ukunda, near Mombasa. The arrests followed a multi-agency, intelligence-led operation.

A Kenyan police spokesperson said: “DCI detectives have arrested four suspects linked to the murder of a British national and multiple violent robberies. The suspects have been forensically linked to other crimes in the region.” “Stolen items recovered include laptops, phones, foreign currencies, credit cards, cheque books, and PDQ machines.” “The suspects remain in custody at Nyali Police Station pending further investigations.”

FICO Pays Tribute to Fallen Colleague

A FICO spokesperson said, “We are devastated by this tragic news. Campbell was a leader in our international scores business. He joined FICO in 2014 and was instrumental in growing our business globally. We mourn his passing and will miss his humour and kindness. Our thoughts are with Campbell’s family and friends.”
