Met Éireann, Ireland’s meteorological service, has raised alarm with the issuance of two Status Red wind warnings for multiple counties, signalling extreme weather conditions with potential danger to life.
The first red wind warning covers Clare, East Galway, and South Roscommon, in effect from 03.00 to 05.00. Simultaneously, a separate warning for Offaly and Westmeath is slated from 05.00 to 07.00. These alerts signify the forecaster’s highest-level warning, emphasising the expected perilous winds during the specified time frame.
