Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to Syndale Place in Ramsgate after reports of a house fire

Four fire engines and a height vehicle responded, and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames with hose reel jets and main jets.

After suffering minor burns and smoke inhalation, one person was transferred to the care of SECAmb.

The fire is believed to have started accidentally on the first floor of the building, but the exact cause is unknown.
