Light Aircraft Crashes near Marlborough

Police have confirmed that they received a call at approximately 6.30pm on Thursday evening reporting that a light aircraft had crashed in a field in Brimslade, Marlborough. Police officers, ambulance and the fire & rescue service are in attendance at the scene, as well as representatives from the Air Accidents Investigation Branch who will lead the investigation into the incident. Work is ongoing at the scene. Police have currently have no further information in relation to casualties at this time. Dorset and Wiltshire Fire Service said it sent four appliances to the scene, where a field surrounding the plane had caught fire. Anyone who witnessed the incident should call police on 101.
