M4 Motorway Closed near Slough following HGV Fire

The M4 westbound carriage of a major motorway between junction J5 and J6 has been closed by Police following an Large Goods Vehicle fire this evening. Traffic has been stooped on the westbound carriage whilst fire crews from Royal Berks Fire and Rescue tackle the blaze. Highways England have advised the closure may be in place for the next few hours until at least 2.30am to aid with the fire fighting efforts and the recovery and clear up operation.
