Blaze Erupts in Bispham's Queen's Promenade
A major incident was declared after a massive fire broke out at a care home in
Blackpool's Bispham area. Emergency services rushed to the scene on Queen's Promenade late Wednesday evening.
Emergency Crews Battle Blaze
The North West Ambulance Service (NWAS), Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service, and Lancashire Police responded swiftly. NWAS confirmed they dispatched several units and are working closely with other emergency teams.
A Lancashire Fire and Rescue spokesperson said:
"At 8:14pm on April 1, five fire engines and an aerial ladder platform attended a commercial property fire on Queen's Promenade. The incident has now been scaled down to one fire engine with other emergency appliances remaining. Several road closures remain in place."
No Cause or Injuries Confirmed Yet
The cause of the fire remains unknown. Emergency crews have not yet confirmed if anyone has been injured. A large cordon is still in place as firefighters tackle the blaze.
Blackpool Police urged the public:
"Please avoid the area and allow emergency services to carry out their work. Thank you for your patience."
