Tragedy Strikes Sunny Primrose Hill
A 27-year-old man, Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, has been charged with the murder of 21-year-old film student Finbar Sullivan. The brutal stabbing happened on April 7 at the popular North London spot, Primrose Hill.
Arrest and Court Appearance
Ogunyankinnu, from Enfield, was arrested three days after the attack on Friday, April 10, and officially charged with murder on Sunday, April 12. He’s set to appear at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Monday, April 13. Meanwhile, a 25-year-old arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender was released with no further action.
Victim’s Background and Incident Details
Finbar Sullivan was more than just a victim. He was the grandson of famed cinematographer Michael Seresin and a talented student at the London Screen Academy. Finbar was heading out with new camera gear when the deadly fight broke out. He had told his father, artist and musician Chris Sullivan, he’d be home for dinner. Tragically, Finbar suffered multiple stab wounds during the altercation. A friend in his 20s was also injured but survived after emergency treatment for stab wounds deemed not life-threatening.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
The park was crowded with families and friends enjoying the warm weather following Easter when tragedy struck. Police urge anyone with information or footage to come forward, quoting reference 6448/07Apr.
