Police Swiftly Act After Church Incident

Thames Valley Police have arrested a man following a shocking incident at Reading Minster Church in Saint Mary’s Butts earlier today. Around 12.15pm, during a service, the suspect entered the church and caused criminal damage, disrupting the congregation.  

Suspect Held on Criminal Damage and Public Order Charges

Neighbourhood officers responded quickly after the incident was reported. They arrested the man on suspicion of criminal damage and public order offences. Police confirmed they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the event, aiming to reassure the community.  

Community Reassured as Police Patrol Town Centre

Recognising the distress caused to those present, police officers remain patrolling the town centre to provide reassurance and maintain safety. Authorities believe some witnesses may have recorded the episode.
