Met Police have nabbed a man after uncovering a stash of firearms, ammo, and drugs in north London.
Counterfeit Guns Galore
Corey Ledgister, 51, from Farndale Avenue, Enfield, was arrested on Thursday, 9 April. Police found 13 fake Glock-style firearms, 13 extended magazines, and a whopping 640 rounds of ammunition during the raid.
Heavy Charges Laid
Ledgister faces a slew of serious charges, including:
- Thirteen counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life
- Possession of ammunition with intent to endanger life
- Possession of offensive weapons in both public and private places
- Possession of a Class B drug (cannabis)
- Animal cruelty offences related to dog fighting
He remains in custody and is set to appear at Stratford Magistrates Court on Saturday, 11 April.
Police Crackdown on Violence
“Tackling violence and the threat of counterfeit firearms is one we take incredibly seriously. I am pleased that our operation has resulted in dangerous weapons taken off our streets,” said Acting Detective Chief Inspector Damian Hill from the Met’s Specialist Crime Command.
Shocking Animal Cruelty Uncovered
Officers also seized cannabis and rescued eight prohibited dogs suffering injuries consistent with breeding and dog fighting. Ledgister faced further charges for these offences. This latest bust highlights the Met’s relentless efforts to rid London’s streets of illegal weapons, drugs, and animal abuse.
