Medical evacuation off West Sussex coast from Queen Victoria cruise ship – UKNIP

The Coastguard Rescue 175 helicopter carried out a medical evacuation from the Cunard cruise ship Queen Victoria, located off the Isle of Wight’s coast, on Sunday 6th of August

The cruise ship departed from the port of Southampton on Sunday evening, bound for Stavanger in Norway

At approximately 8:50 pm, the Coastguard helicopter 175 from Solent launched and made its way to the ship, positioned south of Angmering in West Sussex.

We understand that the patient was then airlifted to wait for medics and coastguard on the Isle of Wight and taken to St Mary’s Hospital.
