Motorcycle rider killed in fatal crash near Southampton
Police investigating a fatal road traffic collision on the B3035 in Bishops Waltham, heading towards Botley, at about 8.45pm last night (Sat 2 Sept). At this time it is believed to be a single vehicle collision, involving a motorcycle. The rider of the motorcycle, a 18-year-old man, was taken to Southampton General Hospital, where he was sadly declared deceased. Next of kin has been informed. Police have said that they are not be in a position to name the deceased until formal identification procedures are completed. The motorcyclist’s passenger, a 15-year-old girl, has also been taken to Southampton General hospital with serious injuries, which are not thought to be life threatening.
