Early Morning Horror on North Circular: Pedestrian Killed in Edmonton Crash

Deadly Smash Shuts Down North Circular

A man lost his life in a tragic hit-and-run incident on the North Circular near Edmonton in the early hours of Sunday, October 27. Emergency crews rushed to the scene at around 4:35 a.m. after reports of a collision at the junction with Meridian Way.

Paramedics fought to save the pedestrian but sadly, he was pronounced dead on site just before 5:15 a.m. The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with police. No arrests have been made so far.

Major Traffic Chaos as Investigation Unfolds

The Metropolitan Police are working to identify the victim and inform his family. Meanwhile, investigators have closed the stretch of the North Circular between Cooks Ferry Interchange and Kenninghall Interchange. This has caused snarling traffic jams back to Chingford.
