Police Appeal after Attempted Robbery at Service Station in Park Gate

Police are appealing for witnesses following the attempted robbery of a service station in Park Gate. A man wearing a balaclava and carrying a blue carrier bag entered Locks Heath Service Station, on Bridge Road, at 3.30am yesterday.

  He approached the female shop assistant and demanded money before hitting the monitor of the cash till. He then ran off and was last seen heading towards Station Road. Nothing was stolen. The man is described as:

  • Approximately 6ft 4ins tall
  • Of a slim build
  • Wearing a black balaclava, gloves and dark clothing

Did you see anyone acting suspiciously in the area at the time of the incident? Do you know who this man is? Did you notice someone in the area that night carrying a blue carrier bag? Inspector James Stewart said: “This was clearly a traumatic incident for the member of staff involved and we hope that anyone who may have seen something that night or who has information about the person who did this will come forward and speak to us.” Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call police on 101, quoting 44160060541, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
