Officers have launched an investigation and are appealing for information after a sheep was found with an arrow lodged in its chest near the village of Markham. The incident occurred on the mountain road between Tredegar and Markham, with the animal being discovered on Sunday, June 26, at approximately 11 am.

Police believe that the sheep was shot with an arrow sometime between the evening of Saturday, June 25, and the following morning. The arrow was subsequently removed, and the sheep is currently undergoing recovery from its injuries.
