Police carry out drugs raid at Southsea Property

Police have carried out a drug’s raid at a property in Southsea this morning( Wednesday 28th March 2018 Officers in protective gear used a battering ram to force entry into the two storey a house of multiple occupancy in Devonshire Road Southsea early this morning. A number of police officers are currently carrying out searches in a number of rooms within the property. It is understood that officers have seized a quantity of class B drugs. Officers have also seized various drugs paraphernalia. The Misuse of Drugs Act warrant was executed by officers from the Portsmouth TPT Team after concerns were raised by local residents in the area regarding suspected drugs offences. A Police source said: “The warrant came about following a significant amount of intelligence from the community regarding suspected drug use and supply.” He confirmed the items seized from the property would be sent off for analysis
