Police Hunt For Suspected Drink Driver after Four Police Cars Rammed on the Isle of Wight

Officers from Hampshire and Isle of Wight Police are hunting a suspected drink driver after he rammed his vehicle into four Police patrol cars during the early hours of New Year’s Day. Police were attempting to stop the driver of a red Ford Focus but in an attempt to make good his escape, he rammed into a dog unit and 3 others vehicles. The incident is understood to have occurred on Albert Street in Ventnor at just before 03:00 on Monday, resulted in 3 officers receiving minor injuries. Anyone with information relating to the identity of the driver should contact Police on 101. Information can be given anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
