A stolen car chase through central London ended in chaos when the vehicle slammed into a pedicab in Covent Garden.
Suspect Fails to Stop, Crashes in Bow Street
On April 11, a grey car refused to stop for police, sparking a dramatic pursuit across the capital. The chase came to a head at 4:16pm in Bow Street, where the car collided with a pedicab.
Multiple Injuries But No Serious Harm
Witnesses were left stunned as the crash injured several people. Fortunately, all sustained only minor injuries.
31-Year-Old Arrested on Multiple Charges
The driver, a 31-year-old man, was arrested at the scene. He faces several charges, including aggravated vehicle taking, failure to stop, dangerous driving, possession of a Class A drug, and assaulting an emergency worker.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “A 31-year-old man remains in police custody after he was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving following an incident in Bow Street, Covent Garden. The man, believed to be the driver of a stolen vehicle, failed to stop for officers which resulted in a vehicle pursuit. The car then collided with a pedicab, injuring multiple people. Those injuries have since been confirmed as minor. The investigation continues, and officers ask anyone with information to contact the Met via 101, quoting 4797/11APR.”
