A 28-year-old man has been charged following a massive cocaine seizure in Southampton, marking the third arrest in this high-profile National Crime Agency (NCA) investigation.

Cocaine Stash Hidden Among Bananas

The haul was uncovered when Border Force officers, working with the NCA, opened a container at Southampton Docks. It had arrived in the UK after travelling from Nicaragua via Panama. Inside pallets of bananas, officers found a staggering 943kg of cocaine worth an estimated £75 million on the streets.

Three Men Now Remanded in Custody

Two other men had already been charged on 18 March in connection with the seizure. All three suspects have been remanded in custody and are due back in court at Southampton Crown Court on 17 April.
